Crochet Summer Camp - June & July 2026

Introduce your child to the art of crochet in a fun, supportive, and hands-on learning environment.

Our Beginner Crochet Class is designed specifically for kids and teens ages 8 to 17 who are curious about creating with yarn and want to learn crochet basics.

Skill Level: Beginner - Intermediate
Age: 8 - 17 years old
Class Size: 4
Schedule: Wednesdays. Choose morning or afternoon 9:30 - 11:00 AM or 1:00 - 2:30 PM
Fee: $100

Each session balances instruction, guided practice, and creative time, ensuring students stay engaged while steadily building their skills.

No prior experience is required. This class is perfect for absolute beginners as well as students who have tried crochet at home and want more structured guidance.

Students who are beyond the basics are welcome to bring a project they would like help with.

Additional Supplies:

  • Yarn, weight 4, worsted acrylic, in a light color. It is easy to see, soft, and budget friendly.

  • Crochet Hook: Sizes 5mm to 6 mm (H, I, or J) are ideal for your first projects. Metal or ergonomic hooks. Refer to hook recommendations on the yarn label.

  • Small Scissors

  • Stitch markers

  • Yarn needle

Students Will Learn

  • How to hold a crochet hook and yarn properly.

  • Basic crochet stitches.

  • How to read and follow a simple pattern.

  • Troubleshooting common beginner mistakes.

Cancellation/Reschedule Policy:

Your class payment reserves your spot.

No refunds are offered for classes or camps. Cancellations received two weeks before class will be able to transfer their fees to another camp or class. Cancellations received less than two weeks before class starts, or no-shows may forfeit their class fees entirely.

If you miss a class you may be able to make up the class or come to an Open Sew day, subject to available space.

If Celia’s Craft Room needs to cancel a class we will issue a refund in the manner in which you paid or you can transfer your payment to a future session of your choice.

Classes are subject to change or cancellation based on low attendance.
