Ready to turn fabric scraps into beautiful, cozy quilts? This class is recommended after you complete the Beginning Sewing Class Part 1 for kids and teens.

What you’ll learn

  • Basic quilting terminology and tools

  • How to choose and prepare fabric

  • Accurate cutting and piecing techniques

  • Pressing and seam allowance best practices

  • Assembling quilt blocks and constructing a quilt top

  • Layering, basting, and quilting

  • Binding

Skill Level: Beginner
Age: 8 - 17 years old
Class Size: Limited to 3 students
Schedule: The Class is divided into 4 sessions, 2 hours in length. (8 hours)
Fee: $220 per Child.

Cost includes use of classroom sewing machines, use of basic sewing supplies, and instruction.

All supplies include. Students will use donated fabrics to create a small quilt. Upon completion they may keep the quilt or donate it to our local Project Linus Chapter. Project Linus provides handmade blankets to children 0-18 who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.

Every class student needs to bring:

  • Water bottle and healthy snack.

  • Closed-toe shoes.

Cancellation/Reschedule Policy:

Your class payment reserves your spot.

No refunds are offered for classes or camps. Cancellations received two weeks before class will be able to transfer their fees to another camp or class. Cancellations received less than two weeks before class starts, or no-shows, may forfeit their class fees entirely.

If you miss a class you may be able to make up the class or come to an Open Sew day, subject to available space.

If Celia’s Craft Room needs to cancel a class we will issue a refund in the manner in which you paid or you can transfer your payment to a future session of your choice.

Classes are subject to change or cancellation based on low attendance.
